1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the StoriLeaf website, account workspace, guided story services, packages, printed keepsakes, digital outputs, and related support.
By accessing StoriLeaf, creating an account, purchasing a package, receiving a gifted story experience, or using any StoriLeaf service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you purchase or manage a StoriLeaf experience for another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so and that these terms apply to that use.
2. Eligibility
StoriLeaf is intended for adults who are legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If a story includes memories, photographs, or details about other people, you are responsible for sharing them lawfully and respectfully.
3. Description of services
StoriLeaf provides guided story experiences that help people capture memories, photographs, reflections, journeys, and family history through structured prompts and support.
Depending on the selected collection and package, a customer may write answers, upload photographs, provide captions, invite a storyteller, record or share voice responses where supported, review a draft, and receive a digital or printed keepsake.
Features, limits, package duration, photograph or audio allowances, included guidance, review steps, final format, and delivery details vary by collection and package and are shown before purchase or confirmed in writing.
4. Buyer and storyteller roles
A buyer may purchase or gift a StoriLeaf experience for someone else. The storyteller's comfort, consent, privacy, and control over their own memories remain important.
If you invite another person to contribute, you are responsible for ensuring the invitation is appropriate and that the person understands what they are being asked to share.
5. Submission and content lock
When a story project is submitted for editorial preparation, answers and other submitted material may be locked for changes.
After submission, new content, major rewrites, additional answers, and structural edits may not be possible unless StoriLeaf agrees in writing or the package includes that support.
Draft review may allow minor factual corrections, proofreading corrections, or limited changes before approval. Once a draft is approved for production, changes may no longer be possible.
6. Packages, validity, extensions, and upgrades
StoriLeaf packages are generally one-time purchases rather than subscriptions unless clearly stated otherwise.
Each package may include one story project, a fixed validity period, defined features, and package-specific limits.
The validity period begins when payment is completed or when the package is activated, depending on the purchase flow. You may work on the story, save progress, and submit content only during the active period unless an extension is agreed.
Reminder messages may be sent before expiry. A grace period may apply after expiry. If no extension or continuation is arranged, project content may be deleted according to the Privacy Policy.
Upgrades may be available before submission. Downgrades may not be available.
7. Payments, pricing, and taxes
Prices, currencies, taxes, shipping charges, payment methods, and package availability may vary by market and collection.
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. StoriLeaf does not store full card details.
Invoices, receipts, and payment confirmations may be made available through your account or sent by email where supported.
8. Shipping, returns, and replacements
Delivery terms for printed keepsakes are explained in the Shipping and Returns policy.
Printed books and other personalised keepsakes are custom-made from approved content and are not eligible for return or exchange because of a change of mind.
If a printed item arrives damaged, defective, or materially incorrect, you must contact StoriLeaf within the stated claim period with clear photographs of the item and packaging. Once verified, StoriLeaf may arrange a replacement, correction, or another suitable resolution.
9. Your content and ownership
You retain ownership of the stories, photographs, recordings, captions, names, dates, and other content you submit.
You are responsible for ensuring that you own the content or have the right and permission to provide it to StoriLeaf.
You grant StoriLeaf a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, organise, edit lightly for clarity, design, format, print, deliver, and support your content solely to provide the selected service.
Your private content is not used publicly or for marketing without explicit permission.
10. StoriLeaf materials
All rights in the StoriLeaf website, prompts, question library, service structure, software, design, branding, templates, and other StoriLeaf materials belong to StoriLeaf or its licensors.
You may not copy, extract, resell, reuse, or adapt StoriLeaf materials for commercial or competitive purposes without written permission.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to use StoriLeaf in a way that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, misleading, infringing, or disruptive.
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
- Do not upload malicious files or try to interfere with security.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access to another account or story project.
- Do not misuse prompts, templates, or StoriLeaf materials.
- Do not use StoriLeaf to harass, defame, impersonate, exploit, or harm another person.
12. Privacy and data protection
Your use of StoriLeaf is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data, story content, photographs, messages, account details, and delivery information are collected, used, shared, stored, and deleted.
13. Service availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, outages, provider issues, or events beyond our control may affect availability.
StoriLeaf may update collections, prompts, packages, prices, formats, policies, or service availability over time. We aim to communicate material changes clearly, especially where they affect active customers.
14. Print and production quality
Printed keepsakes are produced with care, but minor variations in colour, paper, texture, trimming, or binding may occur and may not qualify as defects.
The quality of printed photographs depends partly on the quality, resolution, cropping, and clarity of the files supplied.
15. Third-party services
Some parts of StoriLeaf rely on third-party providers, including payment processing, cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics, printing, delivery, transcription, or other production support.
Those providers may operate under their own terms and policies. StoriLeaf is not responsible for third-party services except where required by law.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoriLeaf is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or losses caused by courier delays, customs delays, customer-supplied errors, or factors beyond our reasonable control.
Where liability cannot be excluded, StoriLeaf's total liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant StoriLeaf package or service, unless the law requires otherwise.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold StoriLeaf harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your content, your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.
We will first try to resolve disputes amicably. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it may be handled through binding arbitration in New Delhi under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, unless applicable law requires another forum.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date below shows the latest version. Continued use of StoriLeaf after updated terms are published means you accept the updated terms.
20. Entire agreement
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Shipping and Returns policy, package details, and any written order-specific terms, form the agreement between you and StoriLeaf for the relevant service.
