Starting a StoriLeaf collection
What is StoriLeaf?
StoriLeaf is a guided storytelling service for preserving meaningful memories. You choose a collection, answer thoughtful prompts, add photographs or other material where relevant, and build towards a finished story you can keep, gift, or share.
Which collections are available now?
The first StoriLeaf collections are Life Story and Travel Memoir. Life Story is for personal memories, family history, values, and milestones. Travel Memoir is for journeys, places, routes, companions, and travel reflections.
Can one account have more than one collection?
Yes. One person can start or gift more than one collection over time. Each collection can have its own storyteller, package, progress, pricing, and final format.
Gifting, ownership, and family roles
Can I gift a StoriLeaf collection to someone else?
Yes. StoriLeaf is designed for gifting. The buyer can start the gift, add a personal message, and invite the storyteller. The storyteller remains the centre of the experience, and their voice should guide the final story.
Who owns the story?
The storyteller or rightful content owner keeps ownership of the stories, photographs, recordings, and other material they provide. StoriLeaf uses that material to deliver the selected story experience.
Can family members help?
Yes. Family members can help gather dates, names, photographs, places, and context. They should not replace the storyteller's voice unless the storyteller has asked them to help in that way.
What if the buyer and storyteller are different people?
That is expected for many gifts. The buyer can support the project, but the storyteller's memories, consent, and comfort remain important throughout the process.
Writing, photos, and formats
Do I need to be a writer?
No. StoriLeaf is built for people who do not know where to start. Instead of a blank page, you answer guided questions in your own words. The story builds gradually from what you share.
Do I have to answer every question?
No. The goal is not to answer everything. The goal is to capture the memories that matter. Some collections may have required steps before a final output can be prepared, but you do not need to treat every prompt like an exam.
Can I upload photos?
Yes. Photographs are an important part of many StoriLeaf collections. Photo limits and placement options may vary by collection and package.
Can I use voice instead of typing?
Some packages may include voice input or audio-based support. Availability depends on the selected collection and package.
Does every collection become a printed book?
No. Some collections may become printed books, while others may be better suited to digital archives, audio experiences, or another keepsake format. The selected collection and package will define the likely output.
Editing, review, and finishing
Who writes the story?
The story comes from the storyteller's own memories and words. StoriLeaf provides structure, prompts, organisation, and support so the material can become a finished result.
Is there human editing?
StoriLeaf is designed to include editorial care where the selected package provides it. Technology can support organisation and formatting, but personal stories should still be handled with human judgement and respect.
Can I review the story before it is finished?
Where a collection includes an edited draft, you can review it before final production. The exact review process depends on the collection and package.
Can I make changes after submitting my material?
Before final submission, you can continue shaping your answers. After submission, changes may be limited to corrections or review-stage adjustments, depending on the package and how far production has progressed.
Timelines, payments, and support
How long does a StoriLeaf project take?
The timeline depends on the collection, package, storyteller pace, review needs, and final format. Some people work steadily over a few weeks; others need more time. Package details and timelines are shown before purchase.
Is StoriLeaf a subscription?
No. StoriLeaf is intended to use one-time payments for selected collections and packages, not an open-ended subscription.
Can I extend or upgrade later?
Some collections may allow extensions or upgrades before final submission. Availability and pricing can be confirmed for the selected collection and package.
What payment methods are accepted?
StoriLeaf uses secure online payments. Available payment methods and currencies may vary by market and are shown when you choose a package.
How do I get help?
Use the contact form with your question, the collection you are interested in, and any timing you have in mind. We will reply with the clearest next step.
Privacy and security
Is my story private?
Personal stories and photographs are treated as private material. StoriLeaf does not share your stories publicly without permission.
Who can access my material?
Access should be limited to the storyteller, authorised account users, and StoriLeaf team members or service providers who need access to deliver the selected service.
Can I delete my story material?
You can contact StoriLeaf to ask about deleting story material. Some records may need to be retained for payment, production, support, legal, or security reasons, but private story content should not be kept longer than needed for the selected service.
What kind of content should I avoid uploading?
Do not upload material you do not have permission to use, highly sensitive third-party information without consent, or anything unlawful. Family stories often include other people, so it is important to be thoughtful about privacy.
